Meet The Founder
Tanya is the Founder of Little Seedling, an Australian gifting and self-care brand created to support women through pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood with products that are both beautiful and genuinely useful. With a professional background spanning Marketing, Business Development and Customer-focused strategy, Tanya brings a thoughtful blend of creativity, commercial insight and lived experience to everything she builds.
Little Seedling was born from Tanya’s belief that while so much attention is placed on the baby, mums often get forgotten and need looking after too. She is an advocate for self-care and reiterates that “With the birth of a child, a mother is born too”. She set out to create a business that would make gift-giving more meaningful and motherhood feel a little more supported – especially during seasons that can be joyful, overwhelming and deeply transformative all at once.

Through littleseedling.com.au, Tanya has built a destination for carefully curated pregnancy, postpartum and newborn gifts, along with nurturing essentials designed to help women feel seen, comforted and cared for. Each bundle is created with intention, focusing on quality, practicality and emotional value; making it easier for partners, friends, family and workplaces to give gifts that truly resonate.
At its heart, Little Seedling is about celebrating new beginnings while honouring the woman at the centre of them. Tanya is passionate about creating a brand that brings together warmth, practicality and thoughtful design, helping customers choose gifts that go beyond the expected and offer real support during one of life’s biggest transitions.

A Beautiful Yet Overwhelming Experience
Little Seedling was born from a very personal experience. I went through a season of motherhood that looked beautiful on the outside, but behind the scenes, it felt incredibly overwhelming. I was running on empty, trying to care for my first child and newborn baby while also managing everything that comes with raising a family and running a home.
Eventually, I realised that if I wasn’t coping or thriving, my family would feel the effects of that too, and that was the moment a seed was planted.
Little Seedling was created from a desire to remind mums that they matter too. At the heart of the business was a simple but meaningful intention: to take one thing off a mother’s plate – her self-care, so she could feel more supported as she cared for her family.
I’m deeply passionate about solving the problem of mums feeling forgotten during pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. So many gifts focus only on the baby, but I’ve always believed that healthy families require a healthy, happy mum. She deserves care, comfort and support in her own right.
That belief sits at the heart of everything we do. Our products are designed to be beautiful, but also genuinely useful – thoughtful gifts and essentials that help a woman feel seen, looked after and supported when she needs it most.

A Brand with Heart and Purpose
One of the biggest challenges in business is everything that sits between having a great idea and executing it in a way that truly lands – something that resonates with your audience, delivers genuine value, and is also profitable and scalable.
For me, that has meant constantly balancing creativity with commercial reality. It is one thing to have a strong vision for a brand and product offering, but another to bring that vision to life in a way that connects with customers and works sustainably as a business. There have been plenty of moments that required refining the offer, rethinking priorities, and being honest about what was working and what was not.
What has helped me overcome that is staying close to the customer, listening carefully, and being willing to test, learn and adapt. I have learned not to get too attached to assumptions and instead focus on building something that people genuinely need and value. That mindset, along with persistence and resilience, has helped me keep moving forward and shaping Little Seedling into a brand with both heart and purpose.
Staying Anchored In Your Mission
The most valuable mindset for me has been to build with purpose, not just pressure. It is easy in business to compare, chase trends or feel like you need to do everything quickly. But sustainable growth comes from being clear on who you are serving and why your business exists.
For me, that means always coming back to the customer experience: will this make her feel more supported, more understood, more cared for? If the answer is yes, it is worth pursuing. If not, it is probably noise.
That clarity has helped guide decisions across product selection, website experience, branding and communication. My advice would be: stay anchored in your mission and let that shape the way you grow.

From a place of intention rather than panic
I think coming back to my ‘WHY’, is what helps the most when the going gets tough. This business is deeply personal to me, and reconnecting with that purpose helps me keep going. Even one kind customer message, one repeat order, or one reminder that a gift made someone feel seen can shift my perspective.
I also believe strongly in protecting my mindset. I try to create small rituals that help me feel grounded – whether that is a walk, a quiet coffee alone before the day begins, writing down priorities, or simply stepping away when I need clarity. I have learned that constant pressure does not always create the best decisions, and stepping back creates the biggest shifts sometimes.
More than anything, I try to lead my business from a place of intention rather than panic. That has made a real difference.

In the hands of more mums across Australia
Right now, I’m excited to be working on a new range of products for Little Seedling designed to bring even more thoughtful, practical support to mums. At the same time, I’m focused on creating greater value through content, building a brand that not only offers meaningful products, but also feels helpful, reassuring and genuinely supportive.
Over the next 12 months, I’d love to see Little Seedling in the hands of more mums across Australia, with stronger brand awareness and an expanded offering that continues to meet women where they are. Looking ahead, I also see real potential for the brand to grow beyond Australia and reach mothers globally.
